Red Bay is one of the most fascinating archaeological sites on Canada’s Atlantic coast, where remains of the 16th-century Basque presence reveal the intense whaling and maritime activity of the time. A place of expeditions, shipwrecks, and resilience, Red Bay has become essential for preserving and telling these stories.
