Animated illustrations for a children’s seek-and-find game.
About the Project
Created for Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH), this seek-and-find game invites children to spot animals in an animated landscape across four seasons.
Displayed on a 29-inch screen, the game offers children a playful activity while they wait for treatment at the hospital. The animals change locations from scene to scene, encouraging players to look closely and discover where they are hiding.
Building the landscape
References from Fraser Valley (Canada) informed the scenery and its natural details. From early sketches to finished illustrations, the composition evolved to balance an expansive landscape with the animals children would search for.

One Place, Four Seasons
The same landscape takes on four distinct appearances through changes in color, vegetation, and weather.
These seasonal variations provide new settings for the search, while familiar landmarks connect the scenes.
